FSP Group, one of the world’s leading power supplies manufacturers, has just launched the AI Smart Power Supply Unit.
This clever piece of kit has been designed to bring to an end lost data during power cuts by providing uninterrupted power to protect data loss.
This is capable because all of the FSP AI power supplies have a built in Lead-Acid battery that generates and stores power to allow the PC to run for an addition 4 - 5 seconds after a power cut.
In other words just enough time to get everything saved and backed up which the FSP AI power ensures happens by sending a signal to the PC system to activate the data back up function.
A very clever concept that I can see finding it’s way into many a household!
You can find out more at the FSP Group website.

Sanberg, the computer accessories producer has announced a new product - the USB ChatSet.
The Sandberg USB Chatset has been designed to solove that problem of having to use either speakers of a headphones to listen to something because it lets you use both at the same time.
So how exactly does it work? Well by the Sandberg USB ChatSet installing in Windows as a separate sound card. This small change will then allow your speakers to be constantly connected to the speaker output on your computer while also having the headset connected at the same time!
A very cool concept and I can’t wait to try it out.

The Logitech Quickcam Communicate SX webcam is one of many webcams on the market and so we’ve taken a closer look to see whether it’s worth having.
The first thing you’ll notice about the Logitech Quickcam Communicate SX webcam if you’ve been using cheap web cams previously is that the image quality is much improved (this Logitech has 640 x480 VGA quality) and that continues even when the sun goes down because of it’s RightLight technology.
However it doesn’t really matter what the image is like if the sound is rubbish.
Luckily with the Logitech Quickcam Communicate webcam this isn’t an issue because it uses RightSound technology and offers echo-free calls.
This means that the Logitech Quickcam Communicate STX webcam is ideal for use with Skype if you’re going to make video calls as sound should be clear and you’ll also be able to see just who it is you’re talking to.
Oh and I have to tell you about a great feature that the Logitech Quickcam Communicate SX webcam has for when you are video chating - the switched privacy shade.
Why is that so good?
Well because if you find you have your t-shirt on inside out halfway through a conversation you can quickly turn your privacy on instead of having to run out of the room in shock!
It also comes with it’s own software that is quick and easy to install and can be picked up for around £32.
(I found it for £31.10 at Micro Direct.)

All our computing gadgets are getting smaller and smaller which is great for portability but I’m sure you’ve found isn’t so great for typing.
For example how often have you found yourself hitting two buttons trying to type a quick email on your Smartphone or deleted something because your finger slipped on your notebook.
It happens all too often because of one thing - the fact our fingers aren’t getting smaller.
The iGo Stowaway Ultra-Slim Bluetooth Keyboard, from MyMemory, is the perfect solution to this problem because it is a full size fold up bluetooth keyboard that you can easily take with you wherever you go.

So if you like listening to your podcasts, internet radio on your computer without sharing them with anyone else make sure it’s a pair of Koss Porta Pro Stereophones you plug in.
